It is necessary for every MAST racer to know how to sharpen and wax his or her skis. Failure to keep your skis tuned will seriously limit the progress you can make as a ski racer. The MAST Ski Tuning Guide provides some guidance for learning how to tune your skis properly. You may still find it helpful to attend a tuning clinic at a local ski shop or to ask a veteran MAST athlete or parent to help you get started. Furthermore, the equipment you need to tune skis can get expensive, so you will want to shop around for the best prices at local shops and over the web.
