Fundraising for the Team and for the Athlete
The Minneapolis Alpine Ski Team works hard to make ski racing affordable for anyone who wishes to ski race for his or her high school. Unfortunately, the costs associated with ski racing are high. To reduce the financial barriers to participation, MAST organizes two types of fundraisers during the year:
- TEAM Fundraising Events and INDIVIDUAL Fundraising Events. Team Fundraisers generate money that supplements our operating budget to cover such expenses as race entry fees and lift tickets, training gates, wireless timing, two-way radios and additional coaching.
- Individual Fundraising Events offer team members the opportunity to raise money that can be used to pay for the Hyland Season Pass, Giants Ridge Camp or Supplemental Training Sessions, the Banquet, or the Team Fee.

Donations
A large source of funding comes from individual donations made by MAST families and Alumni. You can donate to MAST when you register with MAST or anytime during the year. We are a 501c3 non profit so your donations may be tax deductible. We also participate in the Give To The Max fundraising effort in November. Several families make donations through their employer -- either an employer match program or as a reward for hours spent volunteering for a nonprofit.

MAST Individual Fundraiser: Urban Ventures Coffee & MinneSalsa Salsa Sales Drive
Kick-Off: Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 6:00-6:30PM
Description: Ski racing is expensive and we want to give our athletes an opportunity to earn some money to help cover some of these expenses. We will hold a VIRTUAL KICKOFF MEETING ON OCTOBER 30TH AT 6PM so you can learn about how you can sock away credits to your MAST Team Snap Account that you can use to help pay for some of our extra programming this season. Take advantage of the month we have before our season opens to sell great coffee from Urban Ventures and tasty salsa from MinneSalsa. These are easy to sell products that most people purchase anyway just to make it through the month.
