MN State Alpine ChampionshipsThe Washburn Boys WIN the 2024 Minnesota State High School Boys Alpine Championship. The Washburn Girls place second. The Southwest Girls place sixth. Section IV ChampionshipsOur Mpls Alpine Ski Teams had a banner day at Wild Mt on Wednesday, February 7 at the MSHSL Section IV Alpine Championships. The Washburn girls topped the field of 20 teams and earned a spot at the State Meet on February 13th at Giants Ridge. The Southwest girls and the Washburn boys each finished second to also qualify for the MN High School Alpine State Championship. And Parker Hunt from SW qualified to compete as well with his 15th place finish. If you are counting, there will be 19 Mpls athletes competing at the 2024 Alpine State Meet. Welcome To The 2023-24 Alpine Ski Season With The Mpls Alpine Ski Team (MAST)!The 2023-24 alpine ski season approaches and the coaches and parent volunteers of MAST are working hard to make this 24th season of MAST the most successful one yet. Alpine ski racing with MAST is open to all Mpls Public School students in grades seven through twelve. MAST is a 501c3 that serves as the booster club and administrative hub for the MPS alpine ski racing teams that compete in Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) sanctioned alpine ski meets. If you would like to get on our mailing list, please complete and submit the NEW ATHLETE INQUIRY FORM below. Prospective athletes and parents will then start receiving our weekly MAST Updates that will keep you informed about all things MAST and Ski Racing. We welcome your inquiries.
MAST Is Grateful!After numerous delays to the start of the 2020-21 alpine season, we were finally able to begin practicing on Monday, January 11. We had eleven weeks to train and compete. After ten months of social distancing, online classes, and canceled social opportunities, everyone was eager to ski... outside, in fresh air, with friends. At the conclusion of the season, we asked our athletes, coaches and parents to tell us what made them grateful. See their responses in the slideshow below.
