Good Afternoon MAST Athletes, Families and Coaches:

Some quick reminders for MAST Athletes and Families:
I.  Ski Swap at Hyland Opens Friday at 4PM
If you still need to find used equipment, Team Gilboa is hosting its annual SWAP at Hyland starting tomorrow (Friday) at 4PM. If you need skis, I suggest being in line before 4pm if possible. Ski inventory moves quickly. https://www.teamgilboa.com/swap

II.  Season Pass Payments Due Sunday
Attached is a roster of athletes who have purchased a pass through MAST as of the afternoon of Oct 26th. If you are ordering a Hyland Pass through MAST, payment needs to be received by Sunday, October 29. Deliver a check made payable to Mpls Alpine in the amount of $474 to Hope White at 4945 Clinton Ave South. You can also purchase a pass directly from Hyland/Three Rivers Park District.

Note that you are asked to click on a separate link to pay the MPS Activity Fee of $75. If you are in Middle School, you will not be able to pay the activity fee online. This is a glitch in the system. You will need to mail or deliver a check to your HIGH SCHOOL Athletic Director. Please write ALPINE SKIING in the memo line so the AD knows to apply your payment to Alpine Skiing. You may also want to include a note with the payment with the name of your athlete.  

V.  Captains' Practices
The Captains will be holding Captains' Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:15PM AT Lynnhurst Park starting next Tuesday, October 31. Bring a water bottle and wear layers of athletic clothing and athletic shoes so that you can run, jump, hop, skip, glide, leap, spin or whatever the captains challenge you to do. Meet your teammates, play some games, ask questions about the team and the season, and just have some fun.

VI.  Fundraise For Yourself
Don't forget to sell coffee and salsa to raise money for some of the additional expenses you will incur during the season: race day lift tickets, camp, supplemental training, etc. Click Here for more information and fundraising forms and tally sheets.

VII.  MAST Athlete Retreat
Saturday, November 18
11th and 12th Grades: 9:00-Noon:
7th through 10th Grades: 1-4PM
Location: Bush Lake Ski Jump Chalet 
(84th Street and Bush Lake Road)

A Message To The 12th Graders: You are invited to stay after the morning session to help the coaches and captains lead the afternoon sessions for the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th graders. No obligation, but it would be nice to have you contribute your assistance and experience.
