MAST Parent Slalom Family Social & Mom’s Ski Night!

Hello MAST Family:

Following last night’s impressive final race of the regular season, we now have a fun-filled weekend ahead! See below for details on the MAST Parents Slalom and Mom’s Ski Night.

TONIGHT - January 31 from 5:30 - 8:30pm
First-ever MAST Parents Slalom at Hyland!

Not a skier? That’s ok! Show up and be the Super Spectator you’ve been perfecting all season. Though the race is just for parents this time, the event is for the whole family and we hope our MASTletes will cheer their parents on & help work the course! After the race, we’ll head to the Ski Jump Chalet for some food, beverages, and social time!

Check in with STEVE MOORE at the bottom level of the Hyland chalet at 5:30 to sign waivers, pay, and pick up lift tickets. The $50 registration fee can be paid to the MAST Venmo account - @Minneapolisalpineskiing -  OR by using the QR code at the waiver table tonight. This DOES include the lift ticket.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• It’s not too late!  We still have openings for racers. No racing experience needed. Beginners welcome and encouraged!
• Athletes - stay to help "course work" and cheer for parents. Feel the nerves and pride at the bottom of the hill the way your parents do! (Or in this case, maybe embarrassment??)
• Low-key Social after the race with very light fare and beverages provided at the ski jump chalet. (Where the athlete retreat took place). Hot dogs, chips, pop, beer/ wine/ water. 
• Parking! Parking at the ski jump chalet is limited. We encourage you to carpool from the Hyland auxiliary lot on Ski Hill Road. 
• FYI. There are no bathrooms at the ski jump chalet, but fear not, there's a biffy!

Props & THANKS to Mike Rulf, Ali Krueger, Steve Moore, and Aaron Cherveney for this brainchild. We’re hopeful that this will be fun and easy so we can add this to our FUNdraising effort next season.

SUNDAY - MAST MOMS’ SKI NIGHT!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND…

Calling all current and alumni MAST MOMS for a Sunday night SKI & SOCIAL GATHERING!

WHO:  All MAST MOMS, regardless of your skiing ability!

WHEN:  Sunday, February 2 - 6:30pm Ski/ 9:00pm Après.

WHERE:  Buck Hill Ski Area. Meet in the lower level of the Buck ’54 Bar & Grill. (The building on the North end of the area, not the main chalet. Parking available right outside the lower level of Buck ‘54 Bar & Grill).

WHAT ELSE:  Ski from 7pm-9pm with the Late Night Lift Ticket. Advance tickets are available for $20 each, online. Tickets are redeemable beginning at 6:45pm in the ticket office. Moms - online ticket purchases will save you time and money! On-site ticket prices are slightly higher, and there’s those annoying time-consuming waivers. WHAT IF:  You don’t want to ski? Join us Après Ski! We’ll have drinks at the Buck ’54 Bar & Grill around 9pm. Or, feel free to get the Après started before the Après! Buck ‘54 is open until 10pm, so it won’t be a late Sunday night. Just enough time to get some turns in with some friendly MAST Mom faces and toast to a fantastically fun season and wonderful MAST community.
