Dear MAST Athletes, Families, Coaches and Friends:

Our athletes are once again giving coaches a great dilemma—because we have so many talented racers. Unfortunately, we're limited in the number of spots we can fill for the Section IV Championships. While we'd truly love to race ten athletes per team, we can only select six racers and an alternate.
After careful consideration of race results throughout the season, coaches have chosen those who’ve shown the most consistency and speed. The final selections were made by each head coach, with input from the entire coaching staff.
If your name isn’t listed, please know that you’re still an important part of this Sections team. Your dedication, encouragement, and competitive spirit pushed everyone to improve. You made practices and races better for everyone, and your influence remains in every athlete selected.

PASTA Feed Pre-Sections on 2/4/25
5:00 pm - 7:30 pm- Dinner first, then meeting.

The Voyakins will be hosting a pre-Sections’ pasta feed.  Join your Sections' teammates and coaches as you carbo load, get a pep talk from coaches and support from fellow teammates.  This is for ALL sections starters, alternates and coaches.

Sections- Wild Mt. Sign Up for 2/5/2025

Big races, like Sections, need a great deal of help to support our athletes.  We have spots for race volunteering, food, and help with the tent.  MAST will be providing TACOS for lunch in the tent.

Section 4 Alpine Skiing Championships - Wild Mt. -  2/6/2025 - Tentative Schedule (Subject to change by 25-30 minutes. We will notify you as soon as we know).

6:15am - Meet & load bus at Washburn
8:45 - 9:15am - Course Inspection
9:00am - Gate Judges meet @ Finish/ Course Workers meet @ Start
9:45am - First Run
12:20pm - Course Inspection

12:30pm - Gate Judges meeting
1:10pm - Second Run
4:00pm - Awards

*There will NOT be a return bus following Sections. Please plan to ride home with a parent/ caregiver or find a ride with a teammate.

**We are departing later than normal since this is day 3 of missing school for many athletes.  Please be efficient with your time, upon arrival. 
Early Release to change and depart.
2:15 - Washburn
2:00 - All other schools (including SW)
Load Busses
2:15 - Southwest
2:30 - Washburn
NOTE: Athletes from all other schools are expected to get themselves to either the Southwest or Washburn buses after early release at 2:00

3:15 Arrive at Welch... Ticket. Bib. Boot up. BE EFFICIENT TODAY!
3:30 Warm Up
4:30 Inspection Opens
5:00 Run One

Equipment storage

• Washburn athletes can keep their equipment in the storage closet by the main gym. They will need to find Mr. Jenkins to open it for them in the morning. 
• Southwest athletes can keep their equipment in Mr. Mountain's outer office. Either Mr. Mountain or any other staff member can open it for them in the morning. 

*Don’t forget to pack WATER & SNACKS!
**Since Awards will follow this race, MAST is providing post-race snacks.
