MAST UPDATE #4.5
FRIDAY, October 15, 2021 Dear MAST Athletes, Parents, and Coaches: I. Team Fundraiser Wrap Up WOW! Our 2nd Annual MASTers Golf Tournament was a terrific event yesterday. Thank you to everyone who participated. A special thank you to Allison Krueger for bringing her professional expertise and organizational skills to bear on this rather complex fundraising event. You should have seen us all driving off to our respective starting holes in our pre-marked carts promptly at 3PM. We must have looked like the pack of dogs driving off to the dog party in my favorite children’s book “Go Dogs Go”. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle. Thank you also to Aaron Cherveny, Mark Harritt, and Matt McConville for all you did to make this fundraiser such a success. And to anyone else who helped organize the tournament, THANK YOU. And I’d like to offer my deepest apologies to Tom Frazer and Joel Hedrick who had to witness my abysmal play for nine holes. II. MAST Equipment Swap and Tuning Clinic Saturday, Oct 16 from 9am-Noon. 4800 Harriet Ave S. (Note: If you are coming from the East, take 46th or 50th to Harriet. 48th is closed coming from the east at Grand Avenue.) 8AM: Set Up/Equipment Drop Off 9AM-Noon: Swap Sale 10AM: TUNING CLINIC Noon-1PM: Pick Up Sale Items and/or Sales Receipts If you are new to MAST or never learned how to tune your skis in the past, or just need a refresher, please attend the tuning clinic at 10am. It will be held in my driveway during the swap (which will be in my backyard). III. Individual Fundraising Kick Off: Postponed to Sunday, October 24 at 6PM My ambition got the best of me. We are not quite ready to kick off the individual fundraising. Please reset your calendars for Sunday, October 24 at 6PM for the Virtual MAST Individual Fundraiser Kick-Off. I realize MEA break is Thursday and Friday, which is why we are pushing it back to 6PM. This year you can sell both coffee and salsa to friends, neighbors, family members and perfect strangers to raise money to support your very healthy pursuits with Mpls Alpine. The money you raise can help pay for supplemental training, the Giants Ridge Camp, MAST apparel, the MAST Banquet, team fees, or even your Hyland Season Pass. The coffee come from Urban Ventures and the salsa is produced locally by MinneSalsa. Join us on the 24th for more information about how to participate. I will send out a link to the Individual Fundraiser Webinar the week of October 17th. For now, set aside 6PM on Oct 24. Look for a link to log in to the meeting in your MPS calendar and MPS email inbox. Keep those registrations coming. And the season pass payments. Mark 612-275-8392 Comments are closed.
