Hey MAST! We’ve made it! Are you ready for our first on-snow practice of the season?? Your Coaches are ready for you! See below for some very helpful reminders and tips on how to prepare for tomorrow’s practice. AND GUESS WHAT?! We only have a FEW more spots open for Giant’s Ridge! We have extended the registration deadline to this Sunday. Don’t miss out! Our athletes talk about this camp throughout the year and gain so much from it, from the skills they obtain to the relationships they build with their teammates. The experience is priceless. Click HERE for Registration! When: Tuesday, December 31 at 6AM to Friday, January 3 at 10PM. Where: Training at Giants Ridge Recreation Area; Lodging at Camp Chicagami. Transportation: Northfield Bus Lines and Shubat Bus. Meals: Breakfasts and Dinners at Camp Chicagami. Lunches at Giants Ridge. Cost: $650 includes four days of lift tickets, lane fees, training; three nights lodging; three breakfasts, four lunches, three dinners; AWESOME coaching. ON-SNOW PRACTICE - DETAILS AND REMINDERS PRACTICE TIMES & LANE ASSIGNMENTS Please refer to TeamSnap for practice times and lane assignments. In your daily schedule in TeamSnap you should see detailed pod practice times and lane assignments. 12/11/10 means 10th thru 12th graders show up for 3:45-6pm, etc. “Pods” mean “grades”. GETTING TO HYLAND Athletes are responsible for getting themselves to Hyland. There is a free auxiliary lot on Ski Hill Road where many athletes park and take the free, regularly-operating shuttle. The best way to get dropped off at Hyland is via the drop off / pick up lane (enter and go right at the roundabout). It can be very busy, with long lines sometimes, but it moves pretty well. For carpooling, please refer to the family roster. HYLAND PASS Don’t forget your Hyland pass! You must take your pass to the ticketing window each day before practice to receive your daily ticket. Allow time for this. WHERE TO CHANGE Leave your skis and poles in the racks up the outdoor stairs. Find your teammates inside the North end of the building at the tables and cubbies. The upstairs bathrooms or lower level changing rooms (near the ticket counters) are available should you need to change into layers before practice. You can get your gear on and store your bags and shoes in the cubbies or under the tables where the team gathers. Many skiers come to Hyland dressed and booted at home before even getting to Hyland - never even needing to enter the chalet. Just pick up a lift ticket and get on the snow. WHERE TO MEET ON THE HILL We will be meeting each group in front of the center chair lift where we will split into groups. COACHES REMINDERS: As you are prepping for our first day on the hill please review the ski fundamentals pyramid ATTACHED and your goals you set at the retreat. EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST - LABEL EVERYTHING Current weather prediction is cold with high winds so please dress warmly as there will be extended periods of coaching instruction.
