Good Evening MAST Families! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and that you got your fill of food, football, shopping, family time, and even rest. We know it always takes a bit to get back into the swing of things after break so we’re going to try to keep this short. Please refer to MAST Update Week 2 for more detailed info. What should you expect this week? According to Hyland’s website, they’ll be opening the hill on Wednesday. As such, we’ll be holding two more days of dryland on Monday and Tuesday this week at Washburn from 4:30-6PM. Please make sure you have your skis, boots, poles, helmet, and all appropriate layers ready for our first day on snow. Let’s get ready to ski!! *Athletes: Please make sure to dress warmly for dryland - bring gloves, hats, etc. It’s cold out there! IMPORTANT: LAST CALL for Giants Ridge Camp! December 31 - Jan 3 If you are planning on attending, please register TONIGHT! Registration will close at 11:59PM tonight - Sunday, December 1. Click HERE for Registration and more info! AFTON ALPS SKI AREA WAIVER is ATTACHED Find attached the Afton Alps Ski Area waiver form. Please print and sign a hard copy. We’d like to collect all of these by Dec. 10, but tomorrow at Dryland would be even better. If you have Adobe Acrobat, you might be able to fill this out before printing and signing (to make it more legible). If not, please print clearly. Athletes: Please bring the signed waiver to practice to give to Massi Bray (or your coach) to give to Bill Bray. Or you can mail or drop off at Bill Bray’s house: 5329 Dupont Ave S, Mpls, 55419 ALSO, as you’re checking things off your list, make sure your MNSAA WAIVER is signed! Here is the list showing who has signed the MNSAA Waiver, the Afton Waiver, and signed up for Giants Ridge Camp. If you signed the MNSAA Waiver but not showing up here, it may not have been recorded by MNSAA since our last update from them. Apparel IS Ready For Pick UP!!! - Did you get yours? It’s GOOD stuff! Didn’t Coryn and our Captains do a fantastic job with our Merch this year?! If you didn’t grab your apparel at dryland last week, you can pick it up at Monday’s dryland practice from the Petersen sisters (Harlowe, Sloane and Mila). To make special arrangements text Coryn at 612.910.2560. Custom MAST buffs/neck gaiters will be available for preorder this week. Keep an eye out for a separate email in the next couple days! SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING #1 - Saturday, December 7, 2:30-10:30PM Our first Supplemental Training Session will be held on Saturday, December 7 at Wild Mt. We will be doing more directed free skiing than gate training. Nonetheless, we hope to be able to set some short sectional drill courses of brushes, stubbies, and panel GS gates. Cost: $60 includes bus transportation, coaching, and lift ticket. Bring a water bottle and a sack supper. (We take a short break for supper. We do not want you spending time waiting in line to order a ski area dinner so bring your own supper.)
