Hello MAST Family, As we hit the final stretch of this season, we’re reminded of the iconic lyrics from Cake’s ‘Going the Distance’: ~“He's going the distance… He’s going for speed.”~ Much like a ski racer pushing through that final gate, we’re in the home stretch, gearing up to finish strong and leave it all out there on the course. Whether you've been chasing personal goals, tackling tough training days, or just trying to hold your form as the season wraps up, remember that every run counts. This is the time to dig deep, find that extra burst of energy, and finish on the highest note possible. As we go the distance, we race not just for speed, but for everything we've worked for all season long. Let’s cross that finish line together! THIS WEEK’S RACE & PRACTICE SCHEDULE Monday, January 27 - Don Ship Wild Invite - Select Team 6:15am - Meet & load bus at Washburn 8:45 - 9:15am - Course Inspection 9:00am - Gate Judges meet @ Finish/ Course Workers meet @ Start 9:45am - First Run 12:20pm - Course Inspection 12:30pm - Gate Judges meeting 1:10pm - Second Run 4:00pm - Awards 6:30pm approx. - Return to Washburn Tuesday, January 28 - MEC Race #2 and MEC JV Champs - Welch - ALL TEAM Early Release to change and depart. 1:30 - Washburn 1:15 - All other schools Load Busses 1:30 - Southwest 1:45 - Washburn 3:15 Arrive at Welch... Ticket. Bib. Boot up. 3:30 Warm Up 4:30 Inspection Opens 5:00 Run One Washburn athletes can keep their equipment in the storage closet by the main gym. They will need to find Mr. Jenkins to open it for them in the morning. Southwest athletes can keep their equipment in Mr. Mountain's outer office. Either Mr. Mountain or any other staff member can open it for them in the morning. Athletes from all other schools are released at 1:15 and are expected to get themselves to either the Southwest or Washburn buses. *Don’t forget to pack WATER & SNACKS! On Friday, January 31 from 5:30 - 8:30pm, we will hold a MAST Parents Slalom at Hyland! Not a skier? That’s ok! Show up and be the Super Spectator you’ve been perfecting all season. Though the race is just for parents this time, the event is for the whole family and we hope our MASTletes will come and cheer their parents on. After the race, we’ll head to the Ski Jump Chalet for some food, beverages, and social time!  SAVE THE DATE for our MAST Banquet - Sunday, March 23 - 5:00PM - 8:00PM!
