MAST UPDATE #4 MONDAY, October 11, 2021 Dear MAST Athletes, Parents, and Coaches: Thank you to everyone who has registered to ski with MAST this year. And Welcome. Webinar #1 "Orientation To Ski Racing and MAST" Available To Download and View If you missed our presentation “Orientation to Ski Racing and the Mpls Alpine Ski Team”, you can now download and view it from the home page of our website. Each slide is narrated by yours truly. I tried to book James Earle Jones, but he was too busy plugging Arby’s. Sorry, you are stuck with me. Warning: You will have to advance each slide manually. Sorry to make you work. Originally it was advancing automatically, which I thought was really cool and high tech, but once I threw in a video it stopped doing that. That’s where I bumped into the limits of my technical skills. The good news is that it only runs 40 minutes or so. Much shorter than the live version, but still filled with all the information you need to understand what our sport is about and how things operate here at MAST. Here's a link to our homepage: www.mplsalpineski.org. MAST Website Speaking of the MAST Website, we are continuing to update pages every week. Last week I described the updates made to the Equipment header. This week the Parents header is updated. Please peruse the pages so you know where to find important information and resources not only about our team, but also about technique, tactics, equipment, tuning, etc. Registration With MAST As of this morning, we have 92 athletes registered with MAST, 23 of you are new to the team. Welcome All! If you are new to MAST and this is the first MAST Update you have received, you can read all prior Updates I’ve sent this fall on our website. Click HERE for past MAST Update. I’m certain you will find them as riveting as I do. And know that you can quickly get a lot of information on MAST by reading our 2021-22 MAST Fact Sheet HERE. Registration With MPS Online registration for Winter Sports is ready to go. Remember, most of you have paid the MPS Activity Fee. Don't pay a second time when you register with MPS. You should be able to submit your MPS registration without paying the activity fee, so if you run into any trouble, please call me.
