MAST UPDATE #3 TUESDAY, October 5, 2021 Dear MAST Athletes, Parents and Coaches: Thank you to everyone who was able to join our Orientation to MAST and Alpine Ski Racing Webinar on Sunday. I hope it was informative. If you missed this event, look for the Orientation To MAST and Alpine Ski Racing PowerPoint Presentation, complete with narration, sometime later this week on our website. I'll alert you by email when it is posted. One thing I forgot to mention in the webinar: WE LOVE HAVING 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS JOIN MAST. And we have a large group of them. Two years ago we had sixty 7th and 8th graders. They are now in 9th and 10th grade and they are really good skiers because we were able to focus our energy on learning the fundamentals of the sport. And I think it is safe for me to say, they are glad they joined young. So, if you are on the fence and thinking about waiting until you enter high school to join MAST, I encourage you to go for it. Join MAST. Please Join Us for the 2nd Annual MASTers Golf Tournament When was the last time I golfed you ask? Last year at the inaugural MASTers Golf Tournament and I had a blast, even though I am a terrible golfer. My wife and I were paired with two wonderful MAST parents (Rhonda and Dan Geere), and we laughed our way through nine holes of play in a driving windstorm. It was perfect. Very Caddyshack-Like without the rain and lightening. No skill necessary. I certainly didn’t possess any. So, I encourage you to sign up. You will have a terrific time and you will be helping out our team financially. Where: Hiawatha Golf Course When: Thursday, October 14, 3PM Shotgun Start. How: SIGN-UP HERE We are also excited to be holding a raffle at the event for a chance to win incredible prizes. But we need YOU to help provide them – just make sure they’re incredible! I have worked diligently to add all email addresses that come to us through our various forms to our google-groups address book. Please check with all family members to be sure that everyone is receiving these wonderfully entertaining and informative updates. Also, sometimes we find that computers and security apps block our emails from people's inbox. It might help to add [email protected] as a contact in your address book.
