​Hello MAST Athletes, Parents, and Friends:

Is anyone else amazed that November is already here?  The leaves are falling and so has the snow. It must be time for ski season!

Before we get on the hill, our Captains are providing some fun pre-season practices!  We have two more coming up this week and hope to see you all there.

Please Note:

1. We don't want you to miss anything! If you are shopping from your phone, be sure to click on the 3 lines in the upper right corner of the store to see ADULT, LADIES, YOUTH, ACCESSORIES categories. On your computer, the 4 categories are listed at the top of the page. Click on each to see all options. Also, don't forget to click on the "VIEW ALL" box in the ADULT category. There are more items!
2. Unfortunately, the team jacket is being discontinued in the Night Sky Blue/Navy colorway (original jacket color), so there are limited Adult sizes available and no Ladies sizes. The new colorway option is Navy/Battleship Grey, which we introduced last year. Many teammates purchased this colorway last season.
3. Some items are offered in multiple colors! You'll see the choices when you click on the item. (Adult team jacket, trucker hat, twill hat).
4. We added a YOUTH hoodie this year. This is a kid's size run. 
5. Included below is a "Fit" sheet for your reference. This is not exact, but a general idea of how some items fit. 
6. Innovative Graphics, our local apparel vendor, will give 10% of total apparel sales back to MAST! What an awesome opportunity for family members to get a little MAST swag and also "support life-changing opportunities for our young people so they can grow up to be outstanding citizens.” -Mark Conway

CAPTAIN’S PRACTICES! - Lynnhurst Park - 4:00 - 5:15pm
Join us!!  Monday, November  4 and Wednesday, November 6

Bring a water bottle and wear layers of athletic clothing and athletic shoes so that you can run, jump, hop, skip, glide, leap, spin or whatever the captains challenge you to do. Meet your teammates, play games, ask questions about the team and the season, and just have some fun.

Please Sign NEW SKI AREA WAIVER - takes just five minutes!  
We have been informed that this year there is just one single ski area waiver for you to sign that will cover all ski hills.  If you’ve already filled out a waiver, you still need to fill out this one.

Important!  When you fill out this waiver, please use the exact same skier name that you used to sign up with Team Snap. Below is the list of Team Snap skier names. Make sure you fill out the waiver with the exact same name as on this list (even down to hyphen or no hyphen in last name). Why? Almost every time in the past, at various ski areas, there is a discrepancy with the waiver name and the name we’ve submitted for ski passes, and the skier is unable to ski until it gets straightened out with the Ski Area. This isn’t something you want before a race, as you would rather be getting some valuable practice runs in.

List of Skier Names to match with waiver form. (Please verify the waiver name you enter for your skier(s) matches the name in this list).   If the name isn’t right in this list or is missing, let your Core Parent know right away.

TEAM SNAP 
Races, dryland practices, and supplemental dates are already on the Team Snap calendar. Check it out!

A few races are still TBD and dates will be added when they’re confirmed. Refer to Update #9  for more info on Team Snap. On-snow practices will begin as soon as we have snow and will be held every day, Monday - Saturday. Come as often as you can, but keep a healthy school/life/work/ski balance! Exact daily times will be available in early November.

New change - we’ve decided to combine the MAST girls and boys teams into one team for ease of communication with your coach, Daniel Polland.  This may also assist with carpooling communications.

December 8 - Dual Citizen Brewing Co., 5 - 8pm

The MAST Board of Directors is excited to invite you to a fun evening just for parents! We’re getting together at Dual Citizen Brewing Company for a relaxed night of food, drinks, and good conversation.   MAST Parent Social Evite 
We’ll have a sandwich platter from Jimmy John’s, local brews on tap, and non-alcoholic options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s a great chance to connect with other parents and meet the board members in a casual setting.  Whether you're new to the team or a familiar face, we’d love for you to join us!
Don’t let the Saint Paul address fool you, it’s only 12 minutes from Washburn High School.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH, 6pm
“Orientation to the 2024-25 Alpine Season” for athletes and parents, an On-line presentation.  If you can’t attend, the presentation will be posted on our website so you can view it over and over again at your leisure. But real-time is so much better.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH, 6pm-7:30pm
First Official Day of the Season
Hyland Season Pass Photo Night, Pass Pick Up, and Team Meeting at Hyland Park Ski Chalet.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12
Start of Dryland Practice
Dryland training will take place Monday - Friday from 4:30-6PM at the Washburn football field. All athletes are invited and encouraged to attend!
*No Dryland the Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Athlete Retreat and Tuning Clinic  - Hyland Ski Jump Facility
Upper Classmen and returning athletes from 9am-12pm. New Athletes from 1-3pm. There will also be a tuning Clinic at 2pm in which parents are welcome to attend.  (more info to come)
