Sunday, October 27, 2024 Hello MAST Athletes, Parents, and Friends: We have an exciting week coming up. Captain’s Practices begin and we get to go shopping for some cool MAST Merch! A very warm welcome to our new athletes. We hope you love it here as much as we do. Check out our important dates and become familiar with Team Snap. Also, make sure to drop your Hyland pass checks at Hope White’s house by tomorrow, Oct 28, to purchase your pass tax-free (address below), ensure that you’re registered with Mpls Public Schools, and do your concussion testing! CAPTAIN’S PRACTICES BEGIN! - Lynnhurst Park - 4:00 - 5:15pm Tomorrow! Monday - October 28, Wednesday - October 30, Mon -Nov 4, Wed - Nov. 6 Bring a water bottle and wear layers of athletic clothing and athletic shoes so that you can run, jump, hop, skip, glide, leap, spin or whatever the captains challenge you to do. Save the sales tax on your Hyland Season Pass by getting a check for $499 made out to “Mpls Alpine” to Hope White by Oct 28, 2024. You may drop it off at her house (address below). Season passes will be available for pickup at Hyland Hills Nov 11 at the Season Pass Pick up night. If you miss this deadline, you can purchase the adult lift ticket directly from Hyland Hills here. Prices goes up at Hyland on November 1 so get your passes now! Hope White 4945 Clinton Ave Minneapolis 55419 TEAM SNAP Races, dryland practices, and supplemental dates are already on the Team Snap calendar. Check it out! A few races are still TBD and dates will be added when they’re confirmed. Refer to Update #9 for more info on Team Snap. On-snow practices will begin as soon as we have snow and will be held every day, Monday - Saturday. Come as often as you can, but keep a healthy school/life/work/ski balance! Exact daily times will be available in early November. MARK YOUR CALENDARS - MAST Parent Social December 8 - Dual Citizen Brewing Co. The MAST Board of Directors is excited to invite you to a fun evening just for parents! We’re getting together at Dual Citizen Brewing Company for a relaxed night of food, drinks, and good conversation. MAST Parent Social Evite We’ll have a sandwich platter from Jimmy John’s, local brews on tap, and non-alcoholic options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s a great chance to connect with other parents and meet the board members in a casual setting. Whether you're new to the team or a familiar face, we’d love for you to join us! SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH, 6pm “Orientation to the 2024-25 Alpine Season” for athletes and parents, an On-line presentation. If you can’t attend, the presentation will be posted on our website so you can view it over and over again at your leisure. But real-time is so much better. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH, 6pm-7:30pm First Official Day of the Season Hyland Season Pass Photo Night, Pass Pick Up, and Team Meeting at Hyland Park Ski Chalet. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 Start of Dryland Practice Dryland training will take place Monday - Friday from 4:30-6PM at the Washburn football field. All athletes are invited and encouraged to attend! *No Dryland the Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16 Athlete Retreat and Tuning Clinic - Hyland Ski Jump Facility Upper Classmen and returning athletes from 9am-12pm. New Athletes from 1-3pm. There will also be a tuning Clinic at 2pm in which parents are welcome to attend. (more info to come) SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 MAST Parent Social - Dual Citizen Brewing Co.
