Good Morning MAST Athletes, Parents, and Fans:
Want to experience the State Fair, but without the crowds? Join your teammates at the Horse Barn to raise money for the upcoming MAST season. What do you get to do? Well, shovel manure of course! This is a great MAST tradition and our team has been fortunate to have the connection to the fairgrounds and cleaning up after horse shows. We blast good music, put a little workout into our cleaning, and hangout with your teammates, then celebrate our hardwork and fundraising with some pizza. The more people we have, the quicker and more fun the event is. So even if you are a MAST newcomer, (or an experienced senior who wants to re-live MAST one last time, go seniors!) we can show you the ropes and help you meet new people. And our experienced shovelers can show you their best technique. The goal is to get 40+ participants, and this can include parents, siblings, neighbors, and more. I love doing this event and meeting other parents as well as my child’s teammates without their helmets and goggles on. Respond by Tuesday, June 4 at 10pm, and we will commit and raise good money that pays for our awesome coaches and all of the gates you break during the season! Pro Tip: Bring work gloves and a good dust mask! Here is the link to sign up: MAST State Fair Horse Barn Cleanup Fundraiser 1
MAST fundraising team Hi MAST parents!
The newly formed MAST marketing committee is looking to increase our recruiting efforts among students and parents this year. May is a key marketing window for us to increase awareness, primarily to give new families the summer to really consider skiing. We have a May Marketing Blitz happening this coming week: May 20-25th across several schools including Anthony, Page, Sanford, Washburn, Southwest, South, Edison, Roosevelt and more. This May blitz includes posters and yard signs, e-newsletter inclusion, event participation, lunchroom visits and social posts. This is where you all come in – our request: as you see MAST social media posts on Facebook and Instagram – please like, comment and reshare these posts in order to amplify the MAST message. We know that word of mouth is one of the main sources of new recruits for MAST and this is a great way to let your network know about your MAST experience. Again, when you see a post – please like it, comment on it (IE, “we love MAST, reach out if you want to learn more” or maybe share a highlight or achievement about your MAST skier, etc. Your advocacy will help grow the program! Additionally, please mention MAST in your conversations with other parents and students this summer. Point them to the website for all the info they need to explore MAST for their family. http://www.mplsalpineski.org/ Thanks in advance for the support! Go MAST! With gratitude, MAST Marketing Committee |
