We have a great opportunity to raise some money for our team on Monday, May 9 (That is NEXT Monday)! We still need to fill about 12 volunteer spots. Please consider giving up a few hours of time and labor to give your teammates a hand. Here are the details. What: Clean the Horse Barn. Contact Matt McConville at 612-802-9560 AND here is a quick update on planning for next season: I have had two meetings with the coaches from the Metro East Conference already. We have three MEC race dates planned for next season.
Collective scoring for these three races will determine the boys and girls conference champions for 2023. The Southwest boys will be defending their 2022 MEC title. In addition, we are going to try something different on Feb 2 at Welch. We plan to hold a separate JV Conference Championship Race side by side with the Varsity Conference race. In other words, we will set four courses on Lookout and run two separate races. One for JV skiers/teams and the other for Varsity skiers/teams. We will score the top 8 finishers from each team to determine the MEC Junior Varsity Conference Boys and Girls Champions. Naturally, there will be more races on our schedule next year, but these are the (mostly firm) dates of our conference races in 2023. Meanwhile, help us raise some money for MAST on Monday.
