MAST BBQ, Picnic and Equipment Swap: Sunday, September 25, 4:30PM.
Don’t forget to come to the MAST Picnic/BBQ/Swap this weekend at Beard’s Plaisance at 45th and Upton. No registration required. We ask all seniors to arrive at 4PM to help set up. Please bring something to share and something to throw on the grill for yourself and your family. (See attached flyer for details) The annual meeting will take place at 5:30pm. Juniors are asked to stay for a short while afterwards to help with clean up.
We have already had TWO successful fundraisers this fall. Thank you to everyone who worked at the concession stand at the Hoigaards Tent Sale last weekend. Even though we had a one-week notice, our team came through and fully staffed the concession stand all weekend. Thank you. The money we raise from these group fundraisers pay for things like lift tickets and entry fees for races, Sprongo (the service that allow us to upload your videos to outer space so you can watch and learn from them whenever you want), training equipment like gates, drills and radios, the team retreat, and much more. So THANK YOU ALL.
Up Next: Pierce Oktoberfest Fundraiser
MAST is cooking and serving hot dogs and beverages during Pierce’s Oktoberfest Event October 7-9. The pace is a bit more subdued at Pierce but also fun. You only need to cook hotdogs and hand them out. No money is exchanged. Pierce makes a donation to MAST in exchange for our service. Only two volunteers are needed per shift, although as many as four can sign up. One volunteer should be an adult. Here is a link with more information and to sign up: The MAST -Pierce Fundraiser . To help celebrate, Pierce is bringing in US Ski Team athlete and World Cup Gold Medalist Alice McKennis to talk with athletes and sign autographs both Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to stop by and get your autographed poster. And think of a thoughtful and intelligent question you can ask her about ski racing—something that will help you mentally, technically, tactically, or physically in your own skiing.
Attached is a roster of students who have registered with MAST as of Friday evening. I would like to welcome all of you to the team—both our returning athletes and the 16 new ones who are already registered. If you still need to register, here is a link to the Registration Page on our website: MAST Registration.
